Passover Seder & Dinner

By Congregation Hesed Shel Emet (other events)

ABOUT ABOUT

The holiday of Passover (Pesach in Hebrew) commemorates the biblical exodus of the Jews from Egyptian bondage. The Passover ritual meal, the seder, recreates the story of the exodus. The retelling of the story reminds us of how precious freedom is, and the foods we eat remind us of the difficult times of Jewish slaves prior to and during the exodus.

Rabbi Flax will lead us as we read from the hagaddah, our guidebook for the evening. The hagaddah includes special songs and prayers, tells the story of the exodus, and explains which symbolic foods to eat and when to eat them.

We invite friends and family from all faiths to join us for this very special holiday event!

Please purchase tickets by April 17, 2016!
